If you ever wondered what it would be like to ride a motorcycle down a mountain with trucks and cars flying at you, now is your chance to find out. This cute little game combines a traditional racing game format with elements of Frogger to create an experience that will keep you on your toes. Dangerous Road is simple enough to be enjoyed by kids, although younger players may feel frustrated at the more advanced levels.

Dangerous Road puts you on a motorcycle speeding down the highway. As you start down the road, you'll face trucks and cars pulling out in front of you and you will see pedestrians walking right across the middle of the highway. While other games ask you to take evasive action to get around those obstacles, this game gives you a variety of weapons that you can use to actually shoot down those obstacles and get further down the highway. To obtain those weapons, just press the Ctrl button on your computer. Keep pressing it to move through the weapons and select the right one.

Although Dangerous Road may sound like a basic or run-of-the-mill game, players may find it addictive. As the obstacles increase in both size and speed, you'll want to work a little harder to knock them down and keep moving. The simple graphics and colors take you back to the days you spent playing your Atari or one of the other classic consoles, and many players find that it reminds them a lot of the more popular hand-held games of today.

One of the only flaws in this game is the graphical background. As you move down the highway, you will notice a strip of grass on either side of the road. Those grassy areas feature flowers in a few shades of yellow, red and blue, but the more you move, the more you see those same backgrounds appearing again and again. Seeing the same backgrounds and obstacles over and over again can become monotonous and repetitive, which may make you turn off your computer or reach for another game.

This game comes with a direct connection to its official website. After finishing a game, it will tell you your score and let you know whether it is high enough to qualify you for the top 10 scores of all time. When you get one of those high scores, you can go directly to the official website, post your score and take a look at the scores reported by other players. The more you play, the more you'll want to to move up that list.
